Featured Shirt(s) of the Day: The Seagal Collection

When I started Super Sweet Shirts back in 2007, the first shirt I ever made was a tribute to the legendary bad-ass, Steven Seagal. I was trying to come up with a shirt idea, and it happened to be “Earth Day.”  I wanted to do a shirt that was about saving the environment, but was totally awesome.  I kept coming across the phrase, “Reuse, Recycle, Reduce” and I immediately thought of “Reuse, Recycle. RESPECT.” I used this phrase with a cartoon image of the great Steven Seagal, grabbing the arm of someone not respecting the environment. This shirt is one of my favorites because it is the root of The Super Sweet Shirt Company.  Also featured here is my tribute to “Out for Justice,” one of Seagal’s best films.

New Shirt: Han’s Tournament

I’ve been wanting to make this shirt for a long time.  I am a huge fan of martial art films, “Enter the Dragon” being one of the best of all time.  Han’s Tournament is stuff of legend.  This shirt pays the ultimate tribute to this extraordinary event.

This shirt came out awesome and would be a great gift for any fan of Bruce Lee or the martial arts in general.  This is now available in our Etsy Shop, eBay Store, and at supersweetshirts.com.  All of our shirts are screenprinted and 100% guaranteed on American Apparel shirts. 100% American made!

New Mad Max Onesie

During the next few weeks, I will be putting out a bunch of new designs.  Last week was super busy as I had put out a few new shirts and a new onesie.

After numerous requests, I have taken my Mad Max design and put it on a onesie.  The result was totally awesome:

This is now available in our Etsy Shop, eBay Store, and at supersweetshirts.com.

Random News Update!

I’ve been crazy busy the past few weeks, so I haven’t had much time to update this blog!  A few notes:

1) We are already into September!  Less than 4 months until Christmas!  Every order we have been sending out since the summer has has an included coupon code as a “thanks.”  Keep these handy as they can be used this holiday season!

2) Years ago we used to do a yearly holiday Indie shopping show in Rochester, NY.  I haven’t done one in a few years now because we have been so busy each holiday, but this year I might be squeezing one in, which will be in Buffalo, NY.  I’ll know more on this if we get “accepted” into the show.  It’s not something I need to do, and I’m sure I’ll kick myself for doing it because it gets so busy, but it’s great to get out and see the people who buy from us! I miss it.

3) It’s 2014, and yesterday I watched “Kill Bill” for the first time.  I’m not sure why it took me so long to see it, but I’ll definitely be working on some Kill Bill shirt art, hopefully soon!

Stay Tuned!

"Wet Hot American Summer" Shirt!

A new shirt has been released this week in all of our shops.  The shirt is my tribute to the film, “Wet Hot American Summer” written by David Wain and Michael Showalter.  If you haven’t seen this film, you should.  It has become a cult hit for good reason.  The movie takes place in 1981 at the fictional Jewish summercamp, “Camp Firewood”, in Waterville, Maine.  The camp is preparing for the last day of summer which gives the counselors one last chance to hook up with someone.  In the end, the film builds to a talent show.

The cast for this film is awesome, both in coolness and in size.

New Shirt!

I had been waiting for a while to release this one.  I had actually started making the screen for it last week but learned that I shouldn’t make them a few beers deep.  I had messed up the screen and of course had no more supplies in stock for a new one so an order had to be placed.  Well this week I was able to have it finished!  I give you the “Commodore” shirt.
